Christa Rose (she/her/hers)

Laboratory Manager

Christa graduated from Boston University in 2022 with her BA in Neurobiology and MS in Biology. She is interested in researching innovative, accessible, and decolonial solutions that improve mental health, with a particular interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics.

In the lab, Christa helps run the Rat Academy (making her the Rat Professor™, of course) where rats participate in evidence accumulation tasks with the goal of helping us better understand perceptual decision making.

Outside of the lab, Christa is passionate about working with higher education administrators to improve their institutional climate, resources, and policies to better support LGBTQ+, BIPOC, disabled, first-generation, and low-income folks. During her time as a student, Christa co-founded the LGBTQIA+ BU Student Task Force, whose work has led to the creation of the BU LGBTQIA+ Student Resource Center.
