Zeynep Ozturk (she/her/hers)

Undergraduate Student

Zeynep is currently an undergraduate student at Boston University, majoring in Psychology with minors in Biology and Statistics. With a profound interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, she aspires to pursue an MD/PhD or engage in post-doctoral research as a psychiatrist, embodying the role of a future physician-scientist. In the lab, Zeynep is a part of Mouse Academy, playing a key role in evidence accumulation tasks that aim to deepen our understanding of perceptual decision-making.

Zeynep likes being actively involved in her community. Outside of the lab, she is a passionate advocate for reproductive justice. Serving on the executive board of BU's Planned Parenthood chapter, Students for Reproductive Freedom, she strives to enhance institutional support for reproductive justice to everyone inclusively. As an E - Board member Zeynep runs a book club with members to talk about reproductive justice, theory, and learn about all the inspiring ways people have fought for the cause.
